  • Maybe you’re…

… having a difficult time speaking up for yourself at work or in personal relationships.

… unsure of how you’re supposed to act in social situations.

… you’re having a difficult time falling asleep every night and don’t know why.

… having issues in your relationship with your partner or a family member or friend.

… often taking care of other people, but rarely take enough time to take care of yourself.

… wanting to start dating again or make new friends but there are fears holding you back that you don’t quite understand.

… having a reoccurring dream or nightmare and you don’t understand why.

… feeling that life is without purpose.

We all have difficult periods in our lives where we feel worried, overwhelmed or sad.  We may feel like we have no one to reach out to because we’re not sure who we can trust.  We need help.  We need support.  We want something to change, but we may not be sure exactly how to do that on our own.

This is where therapy can help.

    Life can be hard.

Throughout our lives we can be forced to deal with many challenging circumstances.  These circumstances can lead to strains in our daily functioning and relationships.  Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, past trauma, low confidence or overwhelming feelings, the opportunity to heal is always there.  Your situation is never hopeless.  My services are impactful for those who are wanting to understand the many layers of themselves (their emotions, thought patterns, relationship patterns, behavioral patterns) and, gradually, heal.

Many of my clients who are drawn to me come to work on:

    • Women’s Issues: issues related to pregnancy, sexism in the workplace, finding a work-life balance.
    • Anxiety: social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic attacks.
    • Relationship issues: communication, finding a relationship, infidelity, dealing with conflict, managing an alternative relationship.
    • Life transitions: wanting or needing a change but unsure how; confusion and identity shifts; acclimating to a new area.
    • Existential or Spiritual issues: finding one’s life purpose; discovering one’s own spiritual beliefs; finding meaning; discovering one’s self.
    • Depression
    • Grief and Loss
    • Trauma: PTSD; developmental trauma; past physical, sexual or emotional abuse.
    • Addiction, or processing experiences of past addiction: binge eating, overeating, overspending, alcoholism, drug addiction.
    • Codependency: finding a balance between individuality and being in relationship with others.

In my work, I take a holistic approach to psychotherapy, which means that I consider the mind, body and spirit in my work.

Since I take a holistic approach to psychotherapy, I draw upon many different approaches in my work.  The approaches I take tend to vary upon the client, the issue and my own intuitive sense as to what may work best.

Some of the methodologies I draw from include, but are not limited to:

    • Depth psychology
    • Jungian psychology
    • Psychodynamic psychotherapy
    • Existential psychotherapy
    • Narrative therapy
    • Mindfulness
    • Guided Imagery
    • Dream work
    • Transpersonal Psychology
    • Somatic Psychotherapy
    • Hakomi
    • Coherence Therapy
